We Are Imperfect You Know.
My last post highlighted the Feb 2017 Watchtower article that states that the Governing Body are not inspired and not infallible. This same claim has now been made by a governing body member on JW.ORG
Yet they still claim to be the only organisation that is approved by God and the only one providing real enlightenment about bible truths. In fact at one point the member of the governing body states that though early Christians were directed by holy spirit and were inspired, they knew less than the modern day Governing Body.
I have made this point before so if you are a regular reader of these blogs please excuse my reiteration but; if Witnesses are not inspired and not infallible, what is the point of perfect holy spirit?
Further, if we are right at the end of Satan's system and they (Jehovahs Witnesses) have been given the task of saving humanity from everlasting destruction, why would God not use divine inspiration now, at a time when we all need it, when he did two thousand years ago, when quite frankly we didn't?
The sudden admission of fallibility and uninspired teachings should be viewed alongside the sudden changes in the Governing Bodies decision to ensure the vast majority of the funds are directed to the United States headquarters. It should also be viewed in conjunction with the total mess they have got themselves into in regards to the child abuse charges levelled against them.
Suddenly they are distancing themselves from 'God given direction' because their actions are anything but God directed. Now the failure of Governing Body members and congregation elders to protect children can be passed off as 'human imperfection'.
Once the coffers of Brooklyn are satisfactorily overflowing, any criticism and eventual condemnation of the current Governing Bodies requirements to channel huge amounts of monies to them can then be glossed over as 'fallible human thinking'.
The JW.ORG talk states that the Governing Body now have enlightenment that no other religion has and that enlightenment is progressively getting ever brighter as we approach Armageddon. Yet as their beliefs keep changing, at what point are we supposed to believe they have the 'truth'? What is reported in the Watchtower tomorrow is likely to change again next year or in ten years time. Why? Because, as they now openly admit, they don't have inspiration from holy spirit and they are, just like all other religions, infallible.
Listen to their talks on their website and read the Watchtower articles and you are lead to believe that inspiration and fallibility are unimportant. They maintain that it's their sincerity and dedication that sets them apart as the Truth. A dedication to revealing Gods truths, to giving people a clear understanding of the bible. Tell that to all the other sincere, dedicated followers of every other Christian religion that genuinely believe they have the correct understanding of the bible message.
Witnesses can no longer claim the high moral ground of 'guidance by Holy Spirit'. They are as much in the dark as every other religion, guessing and assuming without any real understanding.
Sadly, though their admissions are welcome, their intentions are not. They are trying to deflect the huge amount of recent bad publicity by blaming 'human imperfection' a clause they have long used on a much smaller basis when congregation elders and circuit overseers have caused pain and suffering to individual congregation members yet the local branch office pass it off as 'imperfect men' who are still being used by Jehovah.
