Jehovahs Witnesses and a God with Shallow Pockets





Apparently we are rapidly approaching Armageddon and the need to gather people into Gods organisation is at its most urgent - so what do Jehovahs Witnesses do?  They get rid of special pioneers (those that spend the longest in door to door evangelising), they get rid of district overseers (experienced evangelisers who lead the congregations in their area), reduce the number of Watchtowers and Awake magazines to just 12 per year (total) and put on hold many of their building projects that would help them to teach new converts.

Why?  Is it because they believe Armageddon is literally just around the corner?  

Hardly, in America they have just sold their New York premises (their head offices) for close to a billion dollars and they are re-locating to a cheaper area.  You wouldn't sell your head office and re-locate if you thought the biggest deal in your companies history was about to drop!

So why, at this time when every effort and every dime needs to be spent on getting people to the safety of their organisation, would they throttle back with such alarming speed?

Because they are desperately short of funds.  An embarrassing position for an organisation that claims Gods backing and who have always claimed that HE would provide when it was needed.  

So why has God not come up with the funds just when it is needed most?  Why is the organisation reduced to almost begging Witness children for their pocket money and psychologically bullying their members into signing over their life policies, wills, stocks and valuables?

I will leave you to decide the answer to that question.

Their latest tactic is to stress the need for all Witnesses to demonstrate their loyalty to the organisation by shunning all that have left it - including close family members.  They have always had this stance but now it is being enforced.  So many Witnesses have left the religion because they have woken up to its bullying, mind control and vile threats but as a result any they have left behind, both family and friends, are brainwashed to consider them dead.

This is an organisation that claims it would never break families apart, a claim that is nothing more than a total lie.  They destroy families.  The only families that are not destroyed by this destructive organisation are those that all keep believing the tripe the organisation keeps dishing out. 

They prey for the biggest act of genocide in all of history while claiming themselves to be loving, merciful and peaceful.

Just imagine for a moment that you were a Jehovahs Witness but your children and grand children were not.  Would you pray for an event that would destroy them all?

Jehovahs Witnesses do - it is called Armageddon - Gods war of destruction where he kills everyone that doesn't believe in the teachings of Jehovahs Witnesses.

If God really existed would you blame him for limiting the funds of this organisation?

Aerosmith and Us

I've recently joined an ex-JW Facebook group and some of the people who contribute to it have made me realise just what a journey it is leaving the Organisation.  As you read their experiences and their (often) open-hearted pleas I am constantly reminded that all of them, in some way or another, are echoing my own feelings and experiences. There is a lyric in the wonderful Aerosmith song 'Amazing' that says; Life's a journey not a destination .  It is a sentiment that until recently I never truly understood but now I realise that leaving a religion that has controlled and manipulated you for a lifetime is a journey that never really ends but it can be incredibly rewarding and fulfilling if you allow it to be. What's the point of the Memorial?

It's memorial season again and most of us will get an invite.  To JW's it is viewed as the most important meeting of the year and effectively it is the only celebration that they actively encourage. Witnesses view the memorial as a celebration and as kids growing up in the 'truth' we were taught the significance of the emblems and the importance of the ransom sacrifice.  However, from being a youngster, I have always questioned the whole concept of both the memorial and (apostasy alert) more to the point, the reasoning behind Jesus ransom sacrifice.  Here is the basic premise of the memorial;  It's a formal ceremony that acknowledges the sacrifice of a perfect man, Jesus.
