The similarities between Isis and Jehovahs Witnesses



Sometimes we just have to kick political correctness into the long grass and actually confront the realities that face us.  I am sure there are plenty of people out there who will scream blue murder at anyone who points out that reality; but who cares?  If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck and swims like a duck - call it a duck, not a web footed water foul.

Jehovahs Witnesses - which to my shame I once was (although in my defence I was born into the religion and brainwashed by it) - are, in no small part, not unlike the worlds number one terrorist organisation ISIS.  True, JW's don't wage a terror campaign against the West that involves suicide bombers and heavily armed gunmen - but that isn't because they don't want too.  If they believed God required them to carry out suicide attacks they would.  Their beliefs mirror very closely this vile and murderous organisation, in fact their ultimate hope is the greatest act of mass murder the world will ever have seen - a holocaust on a scale that would dwarf the atrocities perpetrated on Jewish communities during the second world war.

They openly claim to be Gods chosen organisation and unless you do accept the JW's have that status and join them you will be murdered by God at the the battle of Armageddon.  That sentiment is very reminiscent of the worlds current number one terrorist group.  Let me demonstrate:

ISIS

  1. Believe that they are the only religion acceptable to God.
  2. Women are inferior and subservient to men.
  3. Homosexuality should not be tolerated.
  4. Dictate the clothing and hairstyles of those in their community.
  5. Intolerant of any opposing views.
  6. Ultimate goal is the death of all who do not believe in their views.
  7. Require weak and young to sacrifice their lives in suicide attacks in the name of Allah.
  8. Force those they consider to have committed a sin to carry a ‘repentance card’.
  9. Spread their message worldwide using social media.
  10. Accuse any who argue with their regime as ‘apostate’ and murder them.
  11. Claim that everything they do is in  Gods name and demanded of them in the Koran. 
  12. Use Hisba committees -groups of unelected (and mainly uneducated) men to search for people who have broken the rules and administer punitive punishments.

Jehovahs Witnesses

  1. Believe that they are the only religion acceptable to God.
  2. Women must be subservient to men (the head of a woman is man)
  3. Homosexuality should not be tolerated.
  4. Dictate the clothing and hairstyles of those in their community. 
  5. Intolerant of any opposing views.
  6. Ultimate goal is the death of all who do not believe in their views - Armageddon
  7. Require their children to refuse life saving blood transfusions.
  8. Mark or publicly reprove those they deem to have ‘sinned’.
  9. Spread their message worldwide using both social media and door knocking. 
  10. Accuse any who argue with their regime as ‘apostate’ and turn both their families and friends against them.
  11. Claim that everything they do is in Gods name and demanded of them in the Bible.
  12. Use Judicial committees - groups of unelected (and mainly uneducated) men to administer punitive punishments that are often life  changing to people who have simply made a mistake.

Jehovahs Witnesses are NOT terrorists but they pray for the day when their God becomes the most murderous terrorist in history. YES they cry but his justice is perfect justice - the same sentiments of the barbaric ISIS as they throw an innocent man off a roof simply because nature has decided to create him with a desire for men rather than women.

Yes they cry but he is God and he has the right to determine what is and isn't a sin and by those rules he has a right to murder those he considers a sinner.

No he doesn't!  If (and personally I don't believe he did create us) he created man with free will, he has to accept that free will includes doing things he doesn't like as long as it doesn't infringe on the rights and lives of the rest of his creations.  Murder, rape, theft etc would obviously be wrong but people engaging in acts that are mutually acceptable should be beyond his scope of punishment - if they are not what is the point of free will?

Murder is a sin (by Gods standards) so why is the genocide of billions by God acceptable?  Lets call Armageddon by its true name - a small,  feathered, webbed footed, wide billed bird that quacks is a duck.  The mass genocide of everyone on earth who is not a Jehovahs Witness is MURDER!

Aerosmith and Us

I've recently joined an ex-JW Facebook group and some of the people who contribute to it have made me realise just what a journey it is leaving the Organisation.  As you read their experiences and their (often) open-hearted pleas I am constantly reminded that all of them, in some way or another, are echoing my own feelings and experiences. There is a lyric in the wonderful Aerosmith song 'Amazing' that says; Life's a journey not a destination .  It is a sentiment that until recently I never truly understood but now I realise that leaving a religion that has controlled and manipulated you for a lifetime is a journey that never really ends but it can be incredibly rewarding and fulfilling if you allow it to be. What's the point of the Memorial?

It's memorial season again and most of us will get an invite.  To JW's it is viewed as the most important meeting of the year and effectively it is the only celebration that they actively encourage. Witnesses view the memorial as a celebration and as kids growing up in the 'truth' we were taught the significance of the emblems and the importance of the ransom sacrifice.  However, from being a youngster, I have always questioned the whole concept of both the memorial and (apostasy alert) more to the point, the reasoning behind Jesus ransom sacrifice.  Here is the basic premise of the memorial;  It's a formal ceremony that acknowledges the sacrifice of a perfect man, Jesus.
