Vampires, Paradise and A Little bit of Truth

Has anyone been on David Ickes website?  For those that don't know Icke he was a former professional footballer (soccer player) and TV sports presenter in England who one day, during an interview, claimed that he was the 'son of the Godhead'.  Since then he has written and lectured on conspiracy theories.

His theories are not as mundane as the usual ones such as we never reached the moon, JFK was shot by the mafia, Elvis is alive etc.  No, when I say conspiracy theories David Icke is on a whole new level.  On his website today is a thread about vampires and their link to The Red Cross.  He seems to be insinuating that The Red Cross harvests blood and body parts for consumption by the worlds leaders!

Here is a short excerpt from his website;

Interesting that the Red Cross has unlimited access to the blood and bodies produced by artificially engineered wars, while granted access to go behind both enemy lines in theaters of war.

Is there really so much money to be made on war that could not be made in other, constructive ways? Or is it that war provides not only money, but some things that other industries cannot provide:

- fresh young male blood (rich in testosterone, human growth hormone, adrenaline, and endorphins)
- pineal glands, thalamus glands

Could it be that we have a ruling elite literally addicted to blood?
Consider then that a thoroughly parasitic, cannibalistic, and vampiristic elite may be feeding on humanity.

As crazy as it might seem there are millions of people who believe in the existence of vampires. I don't know that too many of them have such extreme beliefs as Icke however it is interesting how these beliefs evolve.

In the early 1800's an English writer by the name of John Polidori wrote what is believed to be the first vampire story - The Vampyre.  The gothic blood sucking, sunlight hating, fanged monster is not too far removed from the symptoms of a group of rare metabolic disorders that occur when the body is unable to produce enough of a substance called haem.  This group of disorders come under the common name of Porphyria.

Haem is a component of haemoglobin, a protein that helps transport oxygen around the body and the pigment that gives red blood cells their colour. Haem also helps to form many other important proteins and is found in all body tissues, but mostly in red blood cells, bone marrow and the liver.

A deficiency in Haem leads neatly to a vampires desire for blood which contains this missing component.  It also explains their colourless skin.

This deficiency in Haem causes a build up of porphyrins in the body, a condition that can cause pain and neurological distress.  Incutaneous porphyrias, the build-up of porphyrins and porphyrin precursors interacts with ultraviolet light from sun exposure to cause your skin to become very sensitive to light.

So now we have a need for blood and sensitivity to sunlight - in some instances exposure to sunlight will cause blistering.  All that is needed now is a talented story teller and a little embellishment of a recognised illness and the Vampire is born.

As is the case with all the best stories (and lies), when it is mixed with a little bit of truth there are many people who are prepared to believe it.

Is it any wonder then that a few million people around the planet believe that the world as we know it will soon end as God wages the war of Armageddon on all who are not Jehovahs Witnesses.  Then he will turn the earth into a paradise, resurrect the dead and stop anyone from ever becoming sick or dying again.

Jesus never expressly details the wonders of this 'new system'.  Despite the fact that this belief is central to the teachings of Jehovahs Witnesses Christ never discusses this 'promise' with anyone. He obliquely mentions paradise to one of the criminals being executed alongside him. He even says in the Lords prayer; Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  But that's as far as it goes, which is strange because if Gods ultimate goal was to make the world a paradise without death or sickness you would imagine that would be the main theme of Jesus teaching!

As Jesus never expressly mentions the terms of this paradise JW's are left with no other choice than to extract other isolated texts from the bible and use them to back up their claims.

The fact that Jesus himself did not make these claims puts a rather large spanner in the works of Jehovahs Witnesses.

And you think those who believe in vampires are crazy!
