Gimme the Money!!






The Governing Body of Jehovahs Witnesses would like me and all the ex-Witnesses who post blogs, operate websites and create YouTube presentations that openly challenge their beliefs and rules to simply shut up and go away.  We are all portrayed as 'apostates with diseased minds' that should be shunned by our friends and families because we won't submit ourselves to the authority of a group of fools who have no concept of humility, truth or decency. 

Of course they feel that they should be allowed to carry out their own criticism of all other religions. They bleat about their 'rights' if any Government tries to curtail their freedom of speech. They openly spout homophobic and chauvinistic views.  They ridicule science that doesn't conform to their views and they have no qualms about lying to the press or even their own believers.

Just like radical Muslim organisations the Governing Body of Jehovahs Witnesses are planning for a world where only their views and their aims are tolerated.  Anyone who has a differing opinion must suffer the consequences, which is death.

Normally I am not a great believer in conspiratory theories but something about the most recent actions of the leaders of the Organisation is beginning to ring alarm bells.

We all know that they are under enormous legal pressure because of the child abuse revelations worldwide.  The cost of defending themselves in the courts is extremely high and more cases are in the pipeline - lots of them.

We also know that they are, lets say, firmly coercing congregations to send the majority of Kingdom Hall collections to the Branch offices in order for the Society to 'build more places of worship'.

“Having sufficient, adequate places of worship is vital, as Jehovah continues to ‘speed up’ the gathering of ‘a mighty nation,'” it reads. “In order to meet these ever increasing needs, the Governing Body has directed that an adjustment be made in the way Kingdom Hall and Assembly Hall construction projects are financed.”   

So where are these new monthly 'agreed' contributions by every congregation really going?  What are they actually funding?

What it does need is a war chest.  It needs funds to fight the huge sums that are going to be needed to fight allegations that their procedures and instructions allowed for thousands of children to be abused within their congregations.

So who will control this enormous amount of money flowing into the coffers of the Organisation? Who will ensure that it only goes to providing ' ..sufficient, adequate places of worship..'?
Who will ensure that it isn't used to defend themselves against the prosecutions they are facing because of their own ridiculous rules?

Sadly the answer to these questions will remain hidden alongside the answers as to why they were NGO's of the United Nation, why they have lied in their literature on numerous occasions and why the definition of apostate has changed from; those that lie to draw Witnesses away from the 'Truth' to; any Witness who turns away from the Organisation.

What's the point of the Memorial?

It's memorial season again and most of us will get an invite.  To JW's it is viewed as the most important meeting of the year and effectively it is the only celebration that they actively encourage. Witnesses view the memorial as a celebration and as kids growing up in the 'truth' we were taught the significance of the emblems and the importance of the ransom sacrifice.  However, from being a youngster, I have always questioned the whole concept of both the memorial and (apostasy alert) more to the point, the reasoning behind Jesus ransom sacrifice.  Here is the basic premise of the memorial;  It's a formal ceremony that acknowledges the sacrifice of a perfect man, Jesus. JW's are Losing the Battle for your Mind!

The July 2017 Watchtower has an article entitled;   Winning the Battle for Your Mind Once again the Governing Body are attempting to convince their congregations that Satan is behind the criticism of the organisation by, amongst others, the Australian Royal Commission and the British Charities Commission.
