Women the Losers

Is the assigning of headship to men demeaning to women?

Being under headship is not in itself demeaning. Headship contributes to the handling of matters in an orderly arrangement, and Jehovah is “a God, not of disorder, but of peace.” (1 Cor. 14:33) Jesus Christ is under the headship of Jehovah God, and he finds great satisfaction in that relationship.—John 5:19, 20; 8:29; 1 Cor. 15:27, 28.

Please excuse my language but what a load of shit!  According to Witness beliefs God made woman from the ribs of Adam as an afterthought because Adam saw that the animals had partners and he was basically lonely.  Fast forward a few years and she (Eve) is deceived by a talking snake (and why wouldn't you be?) and Adam, who is madly in love with Eve, doesn't want to lose her so takes her side which condemns him to ultimate death - (a true romantic hero then!).

So God then decides that men would 'dominate' women.  Why?  Would it have anything to do with the fact that God made woman as an afterthought?  Now fast forward to modern day, a time when mankind has grown intellectually, (to a degree) and most of us modern men appreciate that woman and men are equal.  Suddenly headship IS demeaning, in fact it is unacceptable.  We are all adults - our sex is immaterial.  

According to Jehovahs Witnesses a woman who has studied law at University for five years and has attained a First is inferior to a man with no formal education and makes a living as a window cleaner. 

Completely and utterly ridiculous.

Headship is basically leadership and leadership has nothing to do with the possession of a penis. Margaret Thatcher, the first British woman Prime Minister did not have a penis yet she ruled my country with an iron fist.  Angela Merkel leads the largest country in Europe with passion, strength and great courage.  Hilary Clinton is close to becoming the first President of the United States, a country that leads the world in progression, diplomacy, military strength and innovation. And there are many more examples of women leaders who are more than a match for their male counterparts.

There is nothing 'orderly' about excluding women from decision making.  There is nothing 'orderly' about headship that excludes women from being able to impart their own knowledge and wisdom to the congregation.

What do they think their own domination of women is?  Selfish is the mildest description I would use to describe their male exclusive club!  They are blind to the talent, experience, organisational qualities and straightforward intelligence that the largest percentage of their members possess.

They even acknowledge that God doesn't approve of their chauvinistic conduct yet they ruthlessly enforce it regardless.

Sometimes I have to wonder at the stupidity of the leaders of this Organisation and at my own stupidity in accepting their authority for so long.
