Small Claims - Big Loss

I lost a court case today.  Nothing major, just a small claims thing, but it really pissed me off because I was telling the truth and the claimant was telling lies, in fact all the evidence demonstrated how her story kept changing from e-mail to e-mail as she tried to cover the huge holes in her defence.  Sadly, one of my employees made a simple mistake on his paperwork, which the Judge used to rule against my business.  Now this isn't a moaning blog in any way - sometimes you just have to accept the Judge is an arse and move on!

Seriously though the whole episode got me thinking about Armageddon - yes I know that the Small Claims Court and Gods war are at opposite ends of the spectrum but bear with me.  You see the Judge in todays hearing admitted that his decision was based on a personal view of the evidence.  The over-riding evidence was that the explanation by the lady didn't hold water, in fact it was clearly extremely flawed at the least and lies at the most.  However, because we are a business and one of our employees made a mistake with his paperwork the Judge felt that the safest judgement was with the lady.  

At JW's Armageddon God is the Judge. However he is also the jury and quite literally the executioner as well.  His decision on whether you or I live or die is based solely on his personal view of the evidence. 

The Witness viewpoint is that God has the right to judge as he made us and therefore he can make the rules for survival.  Can Mr Ford go around destroying Ford Cougars simply because its a rubbish car and he doesn't like them?  Can Max Conze of Dyson walk around with a lump hammer smashing every Dyson washing machine because he doesn't like them?

Of course not.  Creating something does not give you the right to destroy it if you have sold it on. God has very clearly sold man on, he has refused to deal directly with us since Adam chowed down on a piece of forbidden fruit so we were clearly unwanted.  In fact his own bible tells us that the 'whole world (including humans) is in the power of the wicked one.'  So according to the bible God openly admits we are now in Satan's possession.  

Of course it's all bull but to argue with JW's you have to use their terminology and their beliefs if you want to get through.

In the end Gods opinion is his own.  It is not the definitive opinion because it fails to accept that we have a right to disagree with Him, we have the ability to think and decide for ourselves.  Of course He will (according to Witnesses) override those disagreements, those thoughts and those decisions and kill us all anyway.  But that doesn't give Him the moral right, in fact that demonstrates that He has no respect for justice or the natural laws of common sense and decency. 

Today the Judge in my case looked at an attractive woman who was clearly emotional and decided that he would rule in her favour despite all the evidence and to justify his decision he opted to use a simple and understandable mistake by a member of my staff.

Jehovah, it is claimed by Witnesses, will kill all but JW's despite the fact that all the evidence points to them being a divisive, family destroying, arrogant, misleading organisation that are still fighting the courts to prevent the release of thousands of documents detailing child abuse allegations within their congregations.

According to the Governing Body Jehovah will find in their favour because 'the World' has made the mistake of not joining them!

Today I lost a few quid - at Armageddons small claims court I am told I will lose my life.  Seems a bit harsh to me!
